I’ve been working on a couple of other things recently but tonight I thought I’d work a little more on the new searching options for MyWorld and heres what I’ve come up with.

I’ve had a few feature requests recently to add the ability to search the map within MyWorld, so tonight I thought I’d get to it and add support. The interface may not be final yet but the support has been added.

I’ve been concentrating on adding more sharing options to MyWorld.

I’ve still some cleaning up to do but you can now share your locations in the form of a description, map link, KML link, or a minimap image with Twitter as well as email and the clipboard.

I’ve been working on various new features for the next version of MyWorld and I thought I would share a few of them with you.
Improved Media Interface

I didn’t really like the previous interface as it felt a little clunky, not much of it has changed but it’s now easier to use.
Tags Manager Count

A small change again but the list of tags now has a counter next to each tag representing how many locations are associated with the tag. Also, if a tag is selected the list of associated locations are displayed.
Work has also been done on the audio recording and playback interfaces, along with various crashes and bug fixes within the app.
The new release of MyWorld is to be submitted to the AppStore sometime this week.

Apple have just informed me the new version of MyWorld has been approved, nothing new in this version just some bug fixes.
It should be in the AppStore within an hour or so, check it out

MyWorld [iTunes link] has just hit the AppStore.
The MyWorld application has been designed to allow you to create location on a map using your current GPS location on iPhone 3G & 3GS (or by manual selection on other devices) with a title, description and automatically set date. Media files can then be optionally attached to the point of interest on the map.
In essence, this will allow you to track your life in a simple and stylish manner, enabling you to give your friends, family or business colleagues a tour of locations visited, precisely located on the map, and the pictures, videos and audio (device dependent) captured of the point of interest.
Once created, your locations can be categorized by tags. Some have been preset for more popular scenarios, such as holidays and nights out, meeting etc, and other tags can be created at the touch of the button should you wish to personalize this feature further.
Users can then search their saved locations using tags names, locations and descriptions, making MyWorld an efficient, attractive and incredibly simple tool.
In future updates, we are planning to develop sharing, which will allow you to send your locations (and their attached media and descriptions) via email to your contacts, and also upload them to your Facebook and Twitter.
I’ve just submitted my first iPhone app to the AppStore.

MyWorld
MyWorld allows users to keep track of and create memories of the places they have visited, ideal for holidays, nights out or that very special moment. Users simply add a pin to the map (optionally using GPS) and attach their media.
Users can add existing or record/take photos, audio or video depending on the device capabilities.
Fingers crossed on it being approved!
