Finally, MyWorld 1.5.2 is also pending for review in the AppStore which now orders the album list with the most recent albums at the top for easier viewing.

MyWorld 1.5.1 is currently pending for approval in the App Store which will have full high quality images for the retina display on the iPhone 4.
MyWorld 1.5.2 is to be submitted shortly after this also, I received a feature request yesterday for the album list to have the most recent albums displayed at the top rather than the bottom. This made sense and I had some spare time this evening so I’ve implemented it, MyWorld will now order the the album list with the most recent albums at the top based on the date set within the albums

As the title says
Pretty quick to approve this update, I’m impressed.

The next version of MyWorld is to be submitted to the App Store within the next day or two, after which I will be taking a short break to focus on my personal life (unless if any bugs/issues are found resulting in minor releases). I will be returning however at some point as the following MyWorld version after this one will have the finished iPad support along with syncing options (to allow albums to be easily transferred between your iOS devices)
So here are the new features which I will be submitting:
* Import multiple videos or pictures from the pasteboard
- Copy multiple photos or videos from other applications (such as the Photos app) and paste them into your album
- Audio and videos can now be copied just like the photos from within the app to then paste into another album or app.
* Improved the way album names are handled
- Albums now default to being named after the location name.
- When an album is not given a name, this also displays as the location name wherever the app needs to display the name.
* Upload videos to Facebook & Flickr
- Just tap and hold your desired video within the videos list (also works with photos)
* Upload photos to Twitter
* Google Latitude support
- set an album location as your current Google Latitude location.
* Larger notes view
- Display your album notes in full view.
* Much better filtering system
- Filter your albums based on a keyword, person or a tag. The map, list and tags manager will show results based on your filter settings.
- Filters are also saved between app launches for devices that don’t support multitasking.

I stumbled across this review of MyWorld tonight and I loved it
I enjoyed reading the review (and I hope the reviewer enjoyed reviewing it too
)
I got to the part about multiple image selection and it got me thinking. Unfortunately the iPhone SDK doesn’t allow multiple image selection with the in-app image picker. However the built in Photos app does allow a user to select multiple images and copy them to the clipboard. The result is a new ‘Import from pasteboard” option available in the next version of MyWorld. After copying the desired images from the Photos app just use the new option to import them into MyWorld, simple
Edit: I forgot to mention, I plan on adding the same capability for videos too.

One of the new features for the next version of MyWorld is a far better filtering system. In the current version of MyWorld when you search for albums you don’t have much control over how they are searched. With the new filtering options you can now search based on a keyword (which will look in the title, place and notes fields of each album) along with people and tags associated.
When a filter is set, the pins displayed on the map, the album list and the tag count contained within the tags manager reflect these settings.

It seems a small bug appears to have slipped through testing relating to viewing photos within the application. The issue results in the correct photo not being displayed or just a black page is displayed instead of the photo.
This issue has been fixed and will be corrected in the next version, in the mean time, the photos are still saved correctly you just need to swipe left or right to the correct photo when you are wanting to view the desired photo.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

The new version of MyWorld is now in the App Store. There is a temporary price reduction for 48 hours which I’m still waiting to be updated in the store so if you’re looking at purchasing the app you may want to wait just a little longer
